My Story
Je suis modéliste de métier, formée a Paris. Quand j’ai commencé, je ne pouvais pas me permettre les services d’une couturière pour coudre mes vêtements. Alors, j’ai appris à coudre.
J’ai d’abord appris à assembler les pièces ensemble et pendant un certain temps, je me suis contenté de cela. Ensuite, j’ai appris à faire les finitions, et cela a fait toute la différence.
J’ai ensuite ouvert un atelier de couture. Retouches, sur-mesure, modélisme. Je me suis formé sur les logiciels CAO, j’ai acheté une imprimante grand format et j’ai pu produire des patrons facilement et rapidement.
J’ai ajouté à mon activité des cours et des ateliers sur le modélisme et, finalement, sur la couture.
J’utilise ce blog pour partager mon expérience et tout le plaisir que j’ai eu à coudre et à créer au fil des années.
I am a pattern maker by trade. When I started, I could not afford the service of a dressmaker to sew my garments. So I learnt how to sew.
I first learned how to assemble the pieces together and for a while, I kept it that way. I then learned how to do the finishing, and that made the difference.
I then started a sewing studio. Alteration, made to measure, pattern making. I trained myself on CAD software, bought a big size printer and could produce pattern easily and fast.
I added to my activity, tuition and workshops on pattern making and eventually sewing.
The purpose of this blog is to share my experience and all the fun I had sewing, designing all over the years.
