We have done a new collar, a new side shape, a new length, and now we are going to add a pocket. We are going to turn our sleeve into a pocket. For the french version, click on the link HERE As you can see, the crown of the sleeve is embroidered too.In order to keep the design, I tried to draw the outline of the bottom of the pocket. The straight blue line is the top of the pocket.I forgot to say that it will be a patch pocket It is just an idea of a pocketSo, I have choosen a blue line and cut along that lineThen I created few pleats at the top to give some depth and volume. The next step is to fold in the edge to prepare for top stitching on the shirt.Eventually, I stitched the top part on the cuff which I had shorten to a suitable length. Now it is all done.Make sure that the pocket is placed nicely, not too hight, not too low 1 thought on “Upcycling an old shirt-Transforming and recycling – Part 3” Pingback: Upcycling-transformer et reconditionner une chemise – La fin Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
