Upcycling an old shirt-Transforming and recycling – Part 3 Post author:Coco Post category:shirt / upcycle Post comments:1 Comment Post last modified:July 29, 2024 Turning a sleeve into a pocket It is the last part of the upcycling post. We have done a new collar, a new side shape, a new length, and now we are going to add a pocket. We are going to turn our sleeve into a pocket. For the french version, click on the link HERE As you can see, the crown of the sleeve is embroidered too.In order to keep the design, I tried to draw the outline of the bottom of the pocket. The straight blue line is the top of the pocket.I forgot to say that it will be a patch pocket It is just an idea of a pocketSo, I have choosen a blue line and cut along that lineThen I created few pleats at the top to give some depth and volume. The next step is to fold in the edge to prepare for top stitching on the shirt.Eventually, I stitched the top part on the cuff which I had shorten to a suitable length. Now it is all done.Make sure that the pocket is placed nicely, not too hight, not too low Please follow and like us:0 You Might Also Like Upcycling – Renovation d’une chemise à dentelle (La fin) August 19, 2024 Upcycling – Transform and reshape an old shirt – part 2 July 22, 2024 Upcycling – Renovation d’une chemise a dentelle (La suite) August 15, 2024 This Post Has One Comment Pingback: Upcycling-transformer et reconditionner une chemise – La fin Leave a Reply Cancel replyCommentEnter your name or username to comment Enter your email address to comment Enter your website URL (optional) Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment.
